The focus of the New Thinking Allowed YouTube channel follows the pattern established in the original Thinking Allowed television series: philosophy, psychology, health, science, and spirituality – with an emphasis on parapsychology and the paranormal. Throughout our history, going back to 1986, we have almost entirely avoided discussions of current events and, particularly, politics. However, we are living at an unusual historical moment. Society is changing rapidly. Old norms are breaking down.

In this open-ended discussion, Emmy and Jeff address questions concerning healthcare and the environment, as well as the distinctions between democratic and authoritarian governments. One concern is political hostility and polarization. Emmy and Jeff question whether remaining silent during this troubling period is a form of complicity. Furthermore, what are the political implications of nonlocal consciousness and quantum interconnectedness?
