Christopher Key Chapple is Doshi Professor of Indic and Comparative Theology and Founding Director of the Master of Arts in Yoga Studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. Chris serves on the advisory boards for the South Asian Studies Association, the Forum on Religion and Ecology (Yale), the Ahimsa Center (Pomona), the Jain Studies Centre (SOAS, London), the Dharma Academy of North America (Berkeley), and the International School for Jain Studies (Delhi). He has published more than 20 books, including Yoga and the Luminous: Patañjali’s Spiritual Path to Freedom and Thinking with the Yoga Sutra: Translation and Interpretation.
Here Chris explores the intersection of psychic abilities and yoga, delving into the teachings of Patanjali and the significance of samadhi.
