First presented on June 12th, 2002, Dr. Robert L. Morris, then the Koestler Professor of Parapsychlogy in the Department of Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, presents the history of the founding of the Koestler Chair, the remit of studying both what looks like psychic phenomena but isn’t (upon research) and the possibility that real phenomena uncovers another method of communication, or otherwise adds to the understanding of the natural world. He also talks about the cultural environment in which the experiences and the research occur, as well as the implications of the research and its findings for science as a whole.
