The fifth talk of the Parapsychology Research and Education online course was given by Dr. Antonia Mills, Professor Emeritus, University of Northern British Columbia on January 27th, 2016.
Dr. Mills was introduced in reincarnation by the Beaver Indians of Canada while doing field research for her PhD at Harvard University and therefore introduced to Ian Stevenson, the psychiatrist who pioneered the scientific study of “cases of reincarnation type”, asked by him to document cases among BC Indians and in India and hired by Stevenson to continue this research at University of Virginia for six years. Mills has published many papers on reincarnation in Canada and in India, co-edited Amerindian Rebirth: Reincarnation Belief Among North American Indians and Inuit (1994) and is writing “That’s MY Chair”: Rebirth Experience Among the Gitxsan and Witsuwit’en.
The course, also called ParaMOOC16, ran live sessions from Monday January 18th through February 22nd, 2016, with discussion forums on the last Sunday of the month until the end of August.
