He is author of American Metaphysical Religion: Esoteric and Mystical Traditions of the New World and The Rosicrucian Counterculture: The Origins and Influence of the Invisible Society. He is coauthor with Tamra Lucid of The Magic of the Orphic Hymns: A New Translation for the Modern Mystic and The Unobstructed Way: A True Account of the Exploration of Life After Death. He is also a practitioner of astrology.
