Christof Koch was a professor at the California Institute of Technology and the president and chief scientist of the Allen Institute for Brain Science. He is now a meritorious investigator at the Allen Institute and the chief scientist for the Tiny Blue Dot Foundation. He is author of Biophysics of Computation: Information Processing in Single Neurons, The Quest for Consciousness: A Neurobiological Approach, Consciousness: Confessions of a Romantic Reductionist, and The Feeling of Life Itself: Why Consciousness is Widespread but Can’t Be Computed.
