Psychedelics and the SoulwithRachel Harris
May 15, 2023
In this interview she shares insights gleaned from interviews with fifteen women who serve as spiritual guides during psychedelic experiences.
Rachel Harris, PhD, a psychologist, is author of Listening to Ayahuasca: New Hope for Depression, Addictions, PTSD, and Anxiety.
In this interview from 2017, she notes that 75% of the people she interviewed, all of whom participated in ayahuasca ceremonies in North America, claimed to have an ongoing, personal relationship with the spirit of the vine. This was the most extraordinary finding to come out of her research. She also describes, in some detail, her own personal relationship with Grandmother Ayahuasca. She offers philosophical and psychological justification for taking such experiences seriously.
