Here he reflects on the life and accomplishments of Camille Flammarion, who was widely known as a popularizer of both astronomy and psychical research. He was closely associated with the spiritism of Allan Kardec. He was also involved in the investigation of many mediums, including the controversial Eusapia Paladino whom he accepted as genuine. He himself had mediumistic talents and engaged in automatic writing. He was also widely known for the “Flammarion Engraving” depicting a mystical vision.
New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is a past vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology; and is the recipient of the Pathfinder Award from that Association for his contributions to the field of human consciousness exploration.
