Stephan A. Schwartz is a Distinguished Associated Scholar of the California Institute for Human Science, and a BIAL Foundation Fellow. He is a columnist for the journal Explore, editor of the daily Schwartzreport.net and the weekly Schwartzreport podcast. He is one of the small group that created modern remote viewing. He is the author of more than 358 technical reports, papers, and book chapters. He is the recipient of the Parapsychological Association Outstanding Contribution Award, the U.S. Navy’s Certificate of Commendation for Outstanding Performance, OOOM Magazine’s (Europe) 100 Most Inspiring People in the World Award (2018 and 2023), and the 2018 Albert Nelson Marquis Award for Outstanding Contributions. His books include The Secret Vaults of Time, Opening to the Infinite, The Alexandria Project, and The Eight Laws of Change. He also edited the volume, Is Consciousness Primary. In this video, rebooted from 2019, he suggests that recent developments in science, particularly parapsychology and neuroscience, provide new insights into the processes by which religions are formed and maintained. He discusses this in terms of healing research, research on meditation, presentiment research, and studies of targets in remote viewing. He also draws implications from this research for our understanding of political processes. He suggests that we should examine the empirical process within religions as well as the role of dogmas in science.

Stephan A. Schwartz is a Distinguished Consulting Faculty of Saybrook University. He is the columnist for the journal Explore, and editor of the daily web publication Schwartzreport.net in both of which he covers trends that are affecting the future. His other academic and research appointments include: Senior Fellow for Brain, Mind and Healing of the Samueli Institute; founder and Research Director of the Mobius laboratory. Government appointments include Special Assistant for Research and Analysis to the Chief of Naval Operations. Schwartz was the principal researcher studying the use of Remote Viewing in archaeology. Using Remote Viewing he discovered Cleopatra’s Palace, Marc Antony’s Timonium, ruins of the Lighthouse of Pharos, and sunken ships along the California coast, and in the Bahamas. He is the author of more than 130 technical reports and papers. He has written The Secret Vaults of Time, The Alexandria Project, Mind Rover, Opening to the Infinite, and The 8 Laws of Change.
