Here she explains that the Mundus Imaginalis is a layer of reality that exists between the pure, formless world of spirit and the physical world of our senses. It consists of archetypes, dreams, and symbols. Its manifestations are evident in the earliest cultural remnants, such as cave paintings. This imaginal world is far more real and different than fantasies and imagination. It speaks to us in the preconceptual language of our soul.
