June 5, 2023
Here he maintains that, as parapsychology gains greater scientific acceptance, the time as come to bring ethical considerations to the forefront.
Mark Boccuzzi is the cofounder, with his wife Julie Beischel, of the Windbridge Institute and the Windbridge Research Center. He is author of Visualizing Intention: Art Informed by Science. He is also author or coauthor of many scientific papers on the study of spirit mediumship.
Here he describes his research activities with mediums. He notes that most mediums say that they can distinguish between spirit communication and other forms of psychic functioning. He has endeavored to find physiological and psychological markers of accurate psi-mediated information from mediums with tantalizing and suggestive results. He is also developing a “sitter’s bill of rights” – helping to educate people who wish to engage the service of a spirit medium about how to obtain the greatest value from such an interaction.
New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is a past vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology; and is the recipient of the Pathfinder Award from that Association for his contributions to the field of human consciousness exploration. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “Parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, 1980).
